Mobile phones and video conferencing has really changed the face of touring for families, but still, telling E her daddy will be gone for 6+ weeks is a little nebulous so we've been finding ways to keep track of where D is, and how much longer until we see him in person again...a little math and geography in our day.
you gave us these ideas with N and E when tim would tour and it really helped pass the time. hope you guys are hanging in there. give me a call sometime xo
ReplyDeletei do the same thing when i leave on tour. miles has a map of the u.s. and of europe on his wall. before i leave, i put a photo of me with some tape on the back to place on the map. miles will then move the picture from state to state and on the cities that i am in. for one tour i did, we put up a picture of me in a van.
ReplyDeleteit is awesome though, how computers with cameras are changing things. for the next tour i'm doing, it will be the first time miles will be able to use the camera.
best of wishes and good health to you and your family while dave is away.
