All The Reasons...

There are a ton, so get ready;

  • We got sick : food poisoning
  • we got sick, again : flu or some other completely nasty coughing & achy illness
  • my hard drive is full; I have 18,530 photo's saved on my computer and apparently they're taking up all of, well, everything and finding the time to transfer stuff around is just too overwhelming right now and I cannot persuade myself that blogging is possible with or without the option of added photo's.
  • I'm now home schooling E, and exhausted (see my added 'Education E' page).
  • We have new renters downstairs, and any spare time or energy has gone toward getting them in and settled.
So, enough of all the excuses already!  I'm aching to get back into the routine, I miss it.  So look for upcoming posts, I promise I'll be back.  Soon.

Bawk-Bawk Buh-KAK!

We got our first egg this morning!   It's so tiny and cute, I don't know if I could eat it (see the comparison in the egg carton)!  We think it came from Azelea, our Black Star.  E has daily chicken duty, and she was just beaming when she found it in our make-shift egg box laying next the the 'trainer egg,' a golf ball.  When she brought it up to the house, I actually screamed!

The Backyard Homestead

Got it from the Library and really enjoying it!

Goodbye Summer

We didn't get a full summer this year: It started late and ended early.  Today we visited Mora in Kingston to blow a kiss and to lift our glasses (cones) high to the rapidly ending season.  Come quickly again.
