We decided to get some fresh air, and walk through the Seattle Art Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park downtown. Small and large surprises were waiting for us around each corner. I particularly liked how these vibrantly red chairs played contrast to our gray day. Many of the instillation's are tucked alongside a winding pathway of flowers and foliage, so the contrast of shiny metal and concrete with nature was obvious. The family favorite though, I believe was the enormous curving and rusting iron panels slicing through a barren gravel floor. It reminded me of a shipyard; beauty long forgotten.
such beautiful, vibrant photos of your family field trip. xo
