Stopped by my neighborhood nursery and found a few things that got me out in the yard for most of the day. Inchelium Red Garlic, a Gravenstein Apple tree and a 4-way Combination Pear (Highland, Red Bartlett, Conference, Bartlett, Anjou). I love replacing useless trees with food trees; we took out a few ornamental's that had either died or were driving me nuts and quickly divided up the heads of garlic and planted for some good eating next year!

Garlic in the Ground, Tree's in the Trailer

I understand that variety of garlic to be from the Northwest. Happy Fall planting to you!
ReplyDeleteSo great! Ann, you were right about my garden. Gotta move it to the front yard... not enough sun. Rabbits ate the lettuce and cabbage that did make it, cucumbers and peppers only grew the "tiniest" veggies! It was a learning experience! Wish I had my Ann closer to help me :)
ReplyDelete#1 so cool!
ReplyDelete#2 you need to move to Arlington.
Yeah...make fun now, but when a few years pass and I'm giving away gravenstein apples and you don't have to drop $30 a box...you'll be happy.
ReplyDelete;)
I'm dead serious - minus the fact that I would hate the commute to see you guys - you should totally move to arlington! think of all the land you could have for studio, chickens, garden... just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteCome ON! Do you not remember my dark, dark days in Poulsbo? I couldn't even hack it when I was just a ferry ride away. I need my family and friends closer. I don't even see you enough NOW, I would be way too isolated.
