Fantastic Mr. Fox

Roald Dahl is my favorite children's author. I was delighted another of his brilliant stories was coming to the theatres. But, first we must read! E's thoroughly enjoying this one (and so are her dad and I), can't wait to take her for popcorn and the flick! And with Wes Anderson at the helm, it cannot miss.

  4. Steph - yes, Boy is, well, an autobiographical masterpiece. After I read that I could see little bit's of Roald's life in every book he's written.

Tania - what is so great is it's a short read, the chapters are almost too short, so it really leaves you ready for more!

  6. we took francis to see this, and i was immediately taken aback by the amount of little kiddies in the theatre, and worried that we might not get a great movie experience. there was chatter and slurping and all that throughout the previews, but when the movie started, it got suddenly silent. halfway through the movie, i realized how quiet it had been and i looked around: all the kids were mesmerized. francis was on the edge of his seat. it was truly eye-candy for the kids, (and adults) and a great story. we all love a great story. it was as if they were being read to, and they were captivated.
